<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Carter (Worth), of Pointe-Claire, Quebec at the age of 88 years. Gladys passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday April 22nd, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born on January 22nd 1938 in Verdun, Quebec and continued to live out the rest of her years in the greater Montreal area.<br><br>Gladys was the heart of her family; a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived a full and vibrant life, and will be remembered for her love of travelling, golf, shopping and ice cream and the many memories she made with friends and family in Montreal, Magog, QC and Sarasota Fl.<br><br>Gladys was steadfast in her love for her husband of 68 years, William (Bill) Carter, who passed in March of 2025. She is survived by her loving children, Linda, Ron, Jimmy (Natalie) and Tom; grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda), Jennifer, Kara (Alex), Corey, Lindsay (Justin), Chris, Glen, Cole and Tyler (predeceased); great grandchildren, Lane and Evan; sister-in-law Monique and predeceased by brothers Harry, Jerry and Al and parents Gwendolyn (Brown) and Alfred Worth.<br><br>A celebration of life will be held on Friday May 22nd, 2026 from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boul, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, QC, H9B2A6.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation.</div>
