It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon “Gordie” McInnis Christie at the age of 61, after a short illness at the Lakeshore General hospital. He was a loving and devoted husband & best friend to Valerie Arsenault for 37 years.
Gord was born in Roxboro and was predeceased by his father Ian Christie, mother Elizabeth Irvine and sister Carole.
He leaves behind his brother Derek (Karen). He also leaves to mourn, his uncle Jim, his father-in-law Andre, brothers-in-law Richard (Sue) and Roger…as well as many nephews, nieces, grand nieces, cousins and other family and friends including Barbara who was like a sister to Gord for the last 40 yrs.
Gord loved watching Car Racing, listening to Music, had a soft spot for animals, enjoyed a good Scotch, and spending time in Belle Anse, Gaspe QC.
Gord loved working with his hands and as a contractor, he could MacGyver, fix & build almost anything. He was kind, loving and had a great sense of humor.
He was taken far too early, is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.
