<div itemprop="description"><br> <br>Grant Charlton Barclay of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, and Nassau, Bahamas, died on September 27, 2025, at the Royal Victoria Hospital after a brief illness. Grant was the beloved son of the late Gertrude (Trudy) (Nespora) Barclay and the late Denis Barclay, and stepson of the late Ann (Hughes) MacLeod Barclay. <br> <br>He is survived by his sister, Nancy Barclay, his niece Tiffany Walters and her family, and his nephew Damian Walters and his family, as well as by his father’s family in Ontario and England. <br> <br>Grant was a graduate of Lower Canada College and the University of Western Ontario, and had a career in finance. He travelled extensively with his father, working briefly at the family business, Ritepro, in Montreal. Grant was a dedicated competitive golfer, having belonged to the Royal Montreal Golf Club and the Beaconsfield Golf Club. <br> <br>He made loyal friends throughout his life, many through the support he received in his struggle with addiction. Most recently Grant lived in Nassau before returning to Montreal for medical treatment. <br> <br>Family and friends are invited to gather at the Rideau Funeral Home (4239 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec H9B 2A6) from 3 to 5 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. <br> <br>Donations in his memory can be made to the Old Brewery Mission, the Alzheimer’s Society of Quebec, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. <br></div>
