In Loving Memory of Henry Timko
Henry passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the age of 91.
He was the loving and devoted partner of 23 years to Irene Jakimowicz, cherished father of Marina Wilson (Fred), and proud stepfather to Denis Daoust (Ilana), Donald Daoust (Yelissa), and Marc Daoust (Sonia). Henry was a beloved grandfather to Liam (Ulissa), Kezia, Hannah, Brandon, Kevin, and Adam, Uncle to Stephanie, Ardyth and will also be missed by Irene’s daughters, Julia, Joanne and Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Imrich and Elizabeth Timko and his sister Margaret Burnett.
Henry was grateful for his career with the Ford Motor Company in Pointe Claire, where he dedicated many years and built lasting friendships. After retiring, he alongside his love Irene, enjoyed spending time golfing with friends and most importantly serving the community, while they worked with the Angels of Mercy feeding the homeless. Henry had a quiet demeanor and many folks enjoyed talking to him as he was always a good listener. Henry enjoyed being part of all special events with his children, grandchildren and extended family spread across Canada. He was also proud to be a Knight of Columbus and serve at St. Thomas a Becketchurch. He will be fondly remembered for his gentle presence, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family.
The family is very grateful for the kind and loving care Henry received over the past 15 months from the staff at Bussey CHSLD in Lachine. We are especially thankful for the attention and compassion shown to him by his personal PAB Violet (also known as Victoria), whose presence brought great comfort to him.
A visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday May 16, at 10:00 am at Rideau Funeral Home, 4239 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec H9B 2A6
John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
