It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ioannis (Johnny) Kontos, who left us peacefully on January 10, 2025.
Johnny was the beloved husband of Stella Hadzipantelis and cherished father of Catherine 1960-2012 , Frank & Kim Trenholm and a devoted grandfather to Madison Eleni, John Josh, Matthew Persechino, Grace Sahyouni, his Great Granddaughter Mia Catherine Persechino.
Johnny’s warmth, kindness and wisdom touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be profoundly missed by his family, extended relatives, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., D.D.O. (514-685-3344).
The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Koimisis tis Theotokou Church, 7700 Av De L'Épée, Montreal, QC H3N 2E6.
Johnny’s legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
