It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sook King Moy, who passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025 at the age of 92, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Sook King was born on April 15, 1933, in Canton, Guangdong province in China. In 1956, she married Tommy Nie Suey Too and immigrated to Montreal. She lived a long and meaningful life entirely devoted to family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose kindness, gentleness, and unwavering love will always be remembered.
She was predeceased by her husband Nie Suey Too and her older brother Bok Nang Moy. She is survived by her younger brother, Mo Lung Moy, and her four sons: Gary (May), Danny (Alice), David (Nicolina) and Harvey (Carole). Sook King was a proud and doting grandmother to Bryan (Jasmin), Stephanie, Andrea (Tim), Kristen (Kevin), Matthew, Christina, and Anthony, and a loving great-grandmother to Vanessa. Sook King had 4 nephews and 7 nieces.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Rideau Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, QC, H9B 2A6.
• Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
• Funeral viewing and service will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The Viewing will be at 11:00 am and the Service at 11:30 am.
Sook King’s life was rooted in compassion, resilience, and quiet grace. She was the cornerstone of her family—offering wisdom, support, and unconditional love through every chapter of life. Her mind was incredibly sharp, and she continued to engage in loving meaningful conversations with her family and friends until the end.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Having accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she has eternal life and "will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23:6)
