Born and raised in Sillery, Quebec, Doug lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. <br> <br>Doug was the proud founder of JD West Insurance Agency, where he built a legacy through his unwavering commitment to sales, investments, and helping others achieve financial security. His enthusiasm for his work and genuine love for connecting with people shone through in every aspect of his remarkable career. <br> <br>A lifelong supporter of the Montreal Canadiens, Doug’s passion for hockey brought him constant joy. Whether watching games with family and friends or reminiscing about the team’s greatest moments, his love for the sport was infectious. <br> <br>Above all, Doug was a devoted family man. He shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Rosemary, and together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Doug was a proud and caring father to Scott (Dorothy) and Kim (Rob), a cherished grandfather to Jake and Nolan, who brought him immense joy and pride, and a beloved uncle to Ryan, Rosemarie, Michael, and Jessica, who, though cherished, were loved from afar due to distance. He was also a loyal friend, a trusted mentor, and a steadfast source of support to those around him. <br> <br>Doug will be remembered for his boundless generosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and zest for life.
