It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved James at the age of 93.
Born on April 13, 1931, he is pre-deceased by his parents Thomas and Chrisoula.
He leaves behind his beloved wife for 68 years, Helen (Manolakos), sister Helen, adored father to Krisanne (Nicodemo Giurleo), devoted and loving pappy to his grandchildren Vanessa (Nicolas Lacoste) and Alexis (Matthew D’Arienzo), great grandfather to James and was dearly loved and respected by many friends and family members. He will be fondly remembered for his selflessness and kindness.
We cannot forget the wonderful care provided by the Manoir L’Ouest de L’ile in addition to the exceptional and compassionate care provided by the doctors and nursing staff at Lakeshore General Hospital floor 3 West and Palliative Care Unit.
James was always active and loved his sports, especially tennis, squash and swimming. He loved his crossword puzzles and classical music.
Following his retirement in 1991 from Avon Canada, he enjoyed his winters in Sarasota, Florida, and loved his cruises.
He had a beautiful heart and will be missed forever.
Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Bd. Des Sources, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, QC on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, from 2PM to 5PM and 7PM to 9PM and Thursday January 16th as of 10:30AM will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 12PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeshore General Hospital, Floor 3 West Palliative Care Unit are welcome and appreciated.
