Jean Louise Fraser (nee Paris)
September 15, 1927 - January 7, 2016
Mom passed away peacefully at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on January 7. Devoted wife of our dad John Fraser (deceased), mom leaves to mourn her children Jack (Pam), Dick (Kim), Pat (Don), Bobby (Lise), Mike (Kirstin), Andree (Fred), Lise (Mike), David (Sylvain) and Duncan (Sharon).
Predeceased by her parents John and Rachel as well as her sister Anna Dollimore and her brothers Jim and Bob, she is survived by her brothers Jack and Tom. Mom was very proud of her eighteen grandchildren and her seven “great-grans” and was a special aunt to the Johnsons. Mom will be remembered for her love of singing, theatre and good parties. Never a shrinking violet, Mom was strong willed and not much given to self doubt. She leaves us a pile of stories from Huntsville, Vancouver, Toronto, Arvida, Jamaica, Thailand, Peru and Montreal.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff and caregivers at the Sunrise DDO for their careful attention these past few years. We’d like to thank the staff and nurses at the West Island Palliative Care Residence as well for their care of Mom in her final days.
A celebration of her life will be held at Rideau on Monday, January 11 at 4:30. The family will be glad to meet friends and tell stories and exchange memories about Mom as of 3:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Island Palliative Care Residence would be appreciated.
