It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jennifer Monk (Jenny) at the Royal Victoria Hospital on the evening of December 31, 2025, with her loving husband and life partner of 35 years, Terrence (Terry) Newcomen, by her side.
Jennifer was a beloved wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, dear sister, and cherished friend. She was a constant source of love, strength, and support to those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Terry; her children, Jonathan (Laura), Tyler, Jason, and Kevin (Kristina); her sisters, Kathleen and Linda (Steve); and her grandchildren, Jackson, Kaylee, and Kian.
Jennifer had a true enjoyment of life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She loved good food and found great joy in cooking and baking at home, often sharing her creations with family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, fishing, and being by the ocean or lake—moments that brought her peace and happiness. Above all, Jennifer treasured time spent with those she loved, creating lasting memories filled with warmth, laughter, and care.
Her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A small private gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Jennifer’s life and to honour the love, laughter, and memories she shared with those closest to her.
