It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Lisk (nee McFall) surrounded by her family on August 12th at the age of 82.

Predeceased by her devoted parents Eric and Agnes, she will be deeply missed by her husband Gerry, her daughters Donna (Lowell), Kim (Chris), her cherished grandchildren Colleen (Danny), Connor, Scott and Emma, her son David (Michelle) and extended family, and friends across Canada, Northern Ireland, and Australia.

Joan was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland where she married her husband of 60 years, Gerry Lisk. Together, they moved to Montreal, Canada in 1979 with their daughters, Donna and Kim.

Joan grew up with a spirited sense of humour, a generous heart, and an unwavering loyalty to those she loved. She was a woman of quiet strength and endless kindness. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her family first. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless cups of tea. She found joy in the simple things—gardening, baking, music, scrap booking, telling stories from “back home” and always up for a road trip or get together with family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12 - 1 pm, immediately followed by a celebration of her life from 1 - 2 pm on Aug 22nd at Rideau funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakeshore General hospital.

Her legacy of love, resilience, kindness and family will live on in all who were fortunate to have known her.
