It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jocelyne Hodak, on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, in Montreal, at the age of 71.

Predeceased by her parents, late Jean Hodak and late Rosette Lessard. She will be dearly missed by her son Matthew, her daughter-in-law Cheng Wei Xiao, and her granddaughters Amelia and Vivienne, whom she loved with all her heart. She will be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters Michel (Monique), Nicole (Marc), Alain (Suzanne), Carole (Alain) and Tara (Nico), her nephews and nieces Isabelle, Christian, Marie-Eve, Zachary, Alexandre and Carl, her good friends Carol, Colette, Esther, Laureen, Marge and Margot, as well as many other relatives and friends.

The eldest of five children, she was naturally tasked with babysitting her siblings which was a help to her mother. A single mother by choice, she devoted her life to providing her son with a stable and loving home. She was a doting grandmother and lavished her granddaughters with love and generosity and was pleased that they shared her love of shoe shopping.

Jocelyne had a talent for bookkeeping and chose to make her career in accounting, working her way up from a clerk at Mutual Life to her position as a senior accountant at Timex Realty where she worked for many years until her well-earned retirement. She shared her years of experience and knowledge with others along the way.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Liver Foundation in Jocelyne’s memory.
