John Melville Firth
November 24, 1928 - July 11, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear father John. He passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Patricia, (Pat) Wilson. He will be greatly missed by his family, Karen, Brian, Dave, and his grandchildren Angela, Andrew, Lindsey and Corey and his sister, Marguerite Bray. His laughter, warmth and wisdom will be fondly remembered by both family and friends whose lives he touched. He will be forever in our hearts.
After graduation John worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 56 years at Abbott, Schering and then as a consultant. He truly loved his profession. John was an active member of Christ Church, Beaurepaire, as well as the Masonic Order, Meridian Royal Alexander Lodge, and Karnak Shriners (Greeters Unit).
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to the Christ Church Beaurepaire.
Our sincere thanks to the Reverend Lorne Eason for his many visits and comforting prayers. Many thanks for the compassionate care of the staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital, the Cambridge and the Maison Herron.
