Sadly, we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Dignard, March 28, 2024. Survived by his wife, Jean, daughters, Melanie (Ryan)
Joleen (Patrick) Grandchildren Leah, Lauren, David, Michael.

Born and raised in Tracadie, New Brunswick, Joe was very proud of his Acadian heritage. He moved from Calgary to Montreal when he had the opportunity to join TCA as a purser, which then became Air Canada where he was an in-flight service director for 30 years. He was very proud of his career and had the chance to travel the world once over during his working days and once again in his retirement.

Throughout all these years of work and travel he had the opportunity to meet people of all walks of life. No matter where you went with Joe, you were bound to bump into someone he knew. An avid lover of water, fishing, and the great outdoors, he also enjoyed cooking, baking bread and of course a good scotch.
Joe lived life to the fullest and kept his sense of humour throughout.

A special thank you to the wonderful and compassionate staff of St. Mary’s Hospital who took care of him these past few months, but also the last couple of years.

Visitation and service will take place on Sunday, April 14 from 10:00 am to noon at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Quebec), followed by a small reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montreal Chapter of Dreams Take Flight can be made in Joe’s honour. https://dreamstakeflight.ca/donate/
