Joyce Ann MacQueen, age 64, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on December 18, 2023 at the Cornwall Community Hospital after a two year long battle with ALS.
She was born October 21, 1959, to Mildred and William MacQueen.
Joyce, the most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter is survived by her husband, Gerard; sons, David and Joey; sisters, Joanne and Judy; brothers, Johnny and Donald; mother, Mildred; Granddaughter, Bryanna along with niece, Christine; and nephews, Chris, James and Brandon; lastly, her cherished cat Tigger.
Joyce had the personality to make friends no matter the situation, and her laugh was infectious to everyone around her. A woman who was dedicated to taking care of others and never hesitated to be there when she was most needed.
As a woman with true integrity, she focused on providing her children with the best life possible without worrying about herself.
Joyce was a truly great woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family and friends, that love her dearly. She was a selfless woman whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all she knew.
A memorial service will take place from 11am-1pm on Saturday, December 30 at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources blvd, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Qc. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society.
