It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Joyce Elizabeth King-Morrison on November 20, 2025, held gently and lovingly in the arms of her daughters.
Joyce leaves to mourn her loving daughters Marva and Laverne; her sons-in-law Robin and Eddison; her precious grandchildren Sean, Kierra, and Kelsey; as well as beloved family and friends in Canada, Jamaica, and further afield.
Joyce is predeceased by her husband Oswald Morrison; her brothers Samuel King and Granville Canaan; and her sister Myrtle Stewart.
Born on December 20, 1931, Joyce lived a life filled with grace, love, and generosity. Family was always at the centre of her heart, and she freely shared all she had with those around her.
At 93 years of age, she remained a devoted mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to share in her life, and her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of the countless people she touched with love, laughter, and compassion.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for the care, kindness, and compassion they showed to Joyce and her family during her final days.
In celebrating the life of our mother Joyce the family invites you to join us for a visitation on Saturday November 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Rideau Funeral Home.
Joyce's ashes will be transported to her final resting place in Jamaica, West Indies for her funeral service and interment. Further details will be shared once arrangements are finalised.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Terese Dellar Palliative Care Residence, or to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
Forever in our hearts and minds. God bless.
