It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Cecelia Wright Stennett, who peacefully departed on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Born on July 26, 1933, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her loving children, Michelle, Anthony, and Jacqueline, her son-in-law Kent Leininger, and her cherished grandchildren, Sebastien, Gabrielle, and Nicolas. Her great-grandchildren, Quinton, Jediah, and Sienna, will also deeply feel her loss.
Family members Norma and Val Darby and Elaine Reynolds Baker, as well as a multitude of relatives and friends will also mourn her passing.
Joyce was known for her exceptional work ethic, her compassion, and her meticulous care as a head nurse at the Neurological Institute of the Royal Victoria Hospital where she worked for many decades. Her legacy will forever be remembered by her family and the community she served.
Joyce/Mommy/Gran Gran was and is deeply loved, and she will be profoundly missed.
A celebration of her life will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Quebec) H9B 2A6, on Friday, March 20, 2026.
