In Loving Memory of Vikram Bhatti

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and pillar of the community.

Vikram Bhatti lived a life defined by generosity, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Deeply rooted in the Montreal community, he was a man known not just for his presence, but for his service. He devoted countless hours to local organizations and played an integral role at the Hindu Mandir, where his spirit of giving truly shone.

What began as a simple act of kindness cooking large batches of home-cooked meals for the Mandir quickly blossomed into something much greater. His food brought people together, earned widespread admiration, and reignited his catering journey. With the unwavering support of his wife Sharda, the two of them built something extraordinary right from their home garage. By 2016, their dream took new shape with the opening of Dawat Caterers, a restaurant that became a beloved culinary institution in Montreal. Vikram rose to become one of the top Indian caterers in the city a title earned not just through flavor, but through heart.

Above all else, Vikram cherished his family. He was a proud and loving father to Karan, Arjun, and Nidhi; a supportive father-in-law to Megha and Ishan; and a doting grandfather to his two greatest joys, Kaia and Yuvraj his apples of his eye. But the deepest bond of all was with his wife, Sharda. Their love, strength, and partnership were a true testament to commitment and grace.

Vikram Bhatti leaves behind a legacy that lives on in every life he touched, every meal he lovingly prepared, and every act of kindness he quietly performed. He will be remembered for his humility, his humor, his straightforwardness, his giving heart and most of all, for the immense love he gave to his family and community.

He will be missed beyond words, and cherished forever.
