<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karin Eickemeyer, on December 30, 2024, at the age of 83. <br> <br>Widowed since September 2021, she will be fondly remembered by her children, Detlef (Nancy) and Frank (Kelly), and her grandchildren Anja, Miles and Olivia. She also leaves behind her sister Kristin, as well as many other family and friends. <br> <br>Karin and her husband Klaus-Dieter came to Canada in 1970 with their infant son. Eventually moving to the Montreal area in 1974, where they settled down and made their home. She was part of the West Island community for the next 5 decades. Fondest memories for her were of involvement in her boys’ schools and being a hockey mom, as well as curling at Glenmore, and being an active member of Ste-Genevieve United Church. In November of 2024 Karin and Klaus-Dieter would’ve celebrated their 60 year anniversary; we know they are together again. <br> <br>Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Quebec) H9B 2A6, on January 25, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm. <br> <br>In her memory, a donation to MS Canada can be made. <br></div>
