Kelvin Diaz passed away peacefully on June 17th at the Jewish General Hospital. In his final
moments, he was surrounded by a village of those who meant the most to him including his
loving grandchildren, children, family, friends, and caregivers.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Kelvin immigrated to Canada in 1965. He dedicated 35 years
to Air Canada as an avionics technician and was known for his many talents, including
repairing things, painting, creating his own marinades and gardening.
An avid reader and a gifted storyteller with a love for music, he brought warmth, humour,
and generosity into the lives of all who knew him. A loving father and family man, a
generous soul, he was always ready to help others.
He found joy in cooking, valued health & wellness, celebrated his enjoyment of sports and
maintained an ongoing and deep spiritual connection with the universe and in Christ.
He is now at peace with God, free from pain and suffering. He is loved and greatly missed,
and will always be remembered as one of a kind.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28th, 3:30–8:00 p.m., at Rideau Funeral Home, Dollard des-
Ormeaux. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29th, 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
We encourage you to please donate to either the Jewish General Hospital Foundation or
the Salvation army in the name of “Kelvin Diaz”.
Feel free to bring flowers of your choice to the viewing and/or funeral service or plant a
plant in his honour in your garden. Bless.
