Kenneth Blackburn
June 16, 1939 - May 19, 2019
BLACKBURN, KENNETH (KEN) J.
1939-2019
I passed away peacefully on May 19, 2019 at the West Island Palliative Care Stillview (Vivalis) Residence. I was predeceased by my beloved wife Nancy Rollo (2001), my sister Margaret (2014), and my brother John (2014).
I leave to mourn: My darling daughter Kim, her wonderful husband Sean, and my adorable grandson Alex. My brother-in-law Michael Snider, Craig, Beth (Mike Wilcocks), Linda (Louis), Richard (Diane), Jimmy (Kim), and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
I was fortunate enough to meet many acquaintances, and to have many dear friends. I thank them very much for their loyalty and kindness (You know who you are).
I enjoyed life to the fullest, but finally both ends of the candle have met in the middle. Now, I’ll go to meet with all of those who went before me (I hope).
Remember, don’t worry about yesterday; it’s gone, and you can’t do anything about that. Tomorrow is coming, but you don’t know what it will bring. ENJOY TODAY! “People who wonder whether the glass is half empty or half full miss the point. The glass is refillable.”
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Cheers to all,
Ken
