After a brave journey with cancer, it is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces her peaceful transition to another plane of existence.
Beloved wife and best friend to her husband Tony Moore for 32 years. She was a cherished and devoted mother to Sarah and Irena. A treasure to sisters Pamela (Jean) and Myra (Sheldon) and sister-in-law to Marcia (Maurice), Betty and Brenhilda. Loving aunt to Brittany, Ryan, Denzel, Krystal, Cassandra, Tanya and Kyle.
A wonderful daughter to Irwin Segal (Peggy) and Berdie Gittleman and a wonderful daughter-in-law to Deanis Lucas Moore.

Those who were blessed and fortunate to know Lana realized she was a force of nature. The epidemy of an amazon warrior but this was tempered by her kindness, caring and tenderness. She would always be willing to lend a hand or an ear.
Her dynamic force of will enabled her to achieve any task she carried out.
She refused to give up.

She loved helping in any way she could, from her involvement with WIAIH and The Friendship Circle.
Lana was a creative cook and an outstanding host/ balabusta. Indeed, one of her greatest joys was to feed people. Nothing gave her more pleasure than to nourish the spirit as well as the body.
She loved animals, she rode horses and even gave a shelter dog its last forever home.

She leaves behind so many that have been touched by her sweet and kind nature.
The world will be less bright with her passing. Memories of her will bring a tear to our eyes but a smile in our hearts. She will be eternally missed.

Donations in her memory may be made to Na’amat Canada 514-488-0792, The Friendship Circle 514-735-2255 and WIAIH via Canada Helps (416) 628-6948
