<div itemprop="description"><br> <br>With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lina Imelda Coulombe who peacefully slipped away at the age of 84 on Thursday, June 27h, 2024 at Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire, QC. <br> <br>She was born August 17, 1939 to Louis Raoul Coulombe and Marie-Jeanne Rioux in the Gaspesie region. She was the eldest daughter and survived by her sisters, Mariette(Georges Ladouceur), Mimi (Henri Belanger) and her youngest brother, Jean-Louis - "p'tit Jean", her many nieces and nephew, and distant cousins. <br> <br>She was a loving and devoted mother to her 3 daughters: Line (Michael Scallan), Johanne ( Roger Lambert) and France (Tom Day). <br> <br>Grandmother to Justin, Colin, Brandon, James, Sean, Victoria, Crystal and Eden. <br> <br>Great-grandmother to Athena and Isaiah. <br> <br>She lived life through simplest of pleasures: chatting with her best friend of many years, Lise Bourbeau, playing card games, she painted exquisite and most beautiful detailed oil paintings, reading ( and discussing in great length book reviews), enjoyed doing puzzles, taking us to picnics at Stewart Hall and the Lachine riverside. <br> <br>She was a great pillar and inspiration to her daughters whom she raised and solely provided for. She sacrificed a lot to give us the best childhoods. Always putting her daughters first before herself. <br> <br>She will be greatly missed and leaving a void that cannot be fulfilled. <br> <br>The funeral will be a quiet memorial ceremony, remembering Lina in the presence of close family and friends at Rideau Funeral Home situated at 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Saturday July 20th from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm with eulogies at 2:30pm</div>
