It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Luc Corbeil, who left us on April 27, 2026,
at the age of 70, in Montreal, Quebec.
Luc was, above all else, a devoted husband, a proud father, and a deeply cherished grandfather. He
shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife of 40 years, Rose Corbeil (Dykhof), whose love and
companionship meant everything to him.
He was the proud father of Jeffrey and James (Amanda), and a devoted Opa to Mason, Cara, and
Isabella. He found true happiness cheering his boys on at hockey rinks and baseball fields.
A passionate Montreal Canadiens fan, Luc loved hockey and would have been right there watching the
playoffs, fully engaged.
Luc earned a Master’s degree in Kinesiology. As a baby, he underwent life-saving heart surgery at the
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, New York, becoming one of the first to survive such a procedure. Throughout
his life, he showed incredible courage and resilience.
Luc is reunited in peace with his parents, Lise and Bernard, his sister Evelyn, and his extended family.
He will be deeply missed by his nephews, extended family, friends, and his beloved dog Maggie May.
Visitation:
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Luc’s memory to the Montreal
Heart Institute
