It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Manfred Richter. He died peacefully at home and will be missed by his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Born as the middle child in Gablonz in 1935, his parents, himself and two brothers weathered the war. As a teen, he and his elder brother attended boarding school after which time Manfred embarked on his education as a machinist. At the age of 26, he forged a new life by immigrating to Montreal, Quebec. Eventually, he began working for an aerospace company which is where he stayed until he retired.
His hobbies included carpentry, gardening, German culture and being in nature. His sense of humor and willingness to help will be missed. As a family, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this time.
