It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Manuel José Da Silva Pinheiro, born on August 31, 1943. He passed away peacefully, reunited with his beloved wife, Maria Adelina Da Rocha Pinheiro, whom he cherished deeply.
Manuel will be deeply missed by his sons Jorge (Franca) and Paulo, as well as by his cherished grandchildren, Sophia and Michael, who brought him great pride and joy. He will also be remembered with love by family and friends, both here and in Portugal.
A humble and easygoing man, Manuel was known for his kindness, integrity, and calm strength. He valued family above all else and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — sharing meals around the table, perfecting his barbecue skills , making wine in the fall and tending to his garden with patience and care.
Manuel was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose quiet presence and steady values left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be remembered with love, gratitude, and respect.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Rideau Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 2:30PM. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 6PM to celebrate his life, with a private interment thereafter at Rideau Cemetery
