Conroy (nee Mills), Margaret (Maggie) passed away on March 28th, in her 82nd year after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Charles Conroy and brother Robert Mills. She will be missed by her daughters Cathy (Roger) and Cheryl (Peter); grandsons Matthew, Justin and Bradley; sisters Alice (Bob), Mary (Jack), Cookie (Barry) and sister-in-law Anita Mills and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Boul. Des Sources, Dollard on Saturday, April 7th from 10am to 12pm followed by a Celebration of Life. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the West Island Palliative Care for the exceptional, truly loving care provided. In lieu of flowers, donations to this wonderful organization would be appreciated.

Margaret (Maggie) was the eldest of five children and born in 1936 to Robert and Margaret Mills. She was raised in “Goose Village” (Victoriatown) - next door to Griffintown and was the proud big sister to brother Robert (Bobbie) Mills (predeceased) and her three sisters - Alice, Mary and Cookie.

Margaret loved music and dancing from an early age - the Jive with her husband Charlie (Chuck) Conroy (predeceased) and later Line Dancing. Margaret liked to downhill ski, but loved more having the family at their ski trailer at Mont Habitant and then a house in Morin Heights that spanned over many years. Margaret and Charlie loved and were blessed to have travelled to many countries. Margaret just loved to be with family and friends. If not an event in sight to go to - Margaret would plan one!

Margaret and Chuck were married in 1957 for over 57 years and raised two wonderful daughters, Cathy and Cheryl. Her grandsons, Matthew, Justin and Bradley shared the focus of her life involving herself in everything they did, so proud of these three.

After 20 years working at Dorchester Investment Management, she focused on enjoying Line Dancing which was at the top of her list. Her social calendar was always full - her daughters could not keep up to her!! Roxboro 60+ club “ladies” will miss her super disposition, positive attitude - always laughing and enjoying their company. Margaret will be truly missed by her life time friend Patricia Pitts - friendship right back to their elementary school years. Pat was often referred to as the 5th sister. Claudette Allard (aka Tymchuk to Cathy & Cheryl) was also a very dear friend to Margaret over the years - inseparable.
