In Loving Memory of Marguerite “Aggie” Bissonnette

It is with both sadness and comfort that we share the passing of Marguerite Bissonnette, known to everyone as Aggie, at the age of 94. A loving, sister, wife, mother and devoted grandmother and the heart of our family.

She left us peacefully over thanksgiving weekend, just one day after her whole family came together to celebrate the holiday, because no family gathering was complete without our Aggie. A perfect reflection of how deeply she was loved and how much her family meant to her.
Born on December 14, 1930, in Richmond, Québec, Aggie built her life around what matter most: her family. She shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with her husband Davidson “Bubba” Pye together raising three children: Christine (Real), Brenda and James (Andrea); and later becoming a proud grandmother to Christopher (Marianne), Stephanie (Joseph), Nicholas, Mathieu (Alexia), Laura and Emilie (Mark). She also leaves behind two sisters, Pauline (late Gilles) and Denise (late Rejean).

A stay-at-home mom with endless energy, Aggie maintained a beautiful home and cared for her family with quiet devotion. She never liked to be fussed over, take center stage or be photographed. What made Aggie truly special was the way she brought people together. Even as her kids and grandkids grew older, the family still gathered to celebrate every birthday and holiday together. She was the center of our close-knit family, and her love will be passed through many generations to come.

Aggie was known for her sharp wit, humor and her big heart. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel cared for and supported, turning the simplest moments into cherished memories, whether it was at a family dinner, singing “On Top of Old Smokey” or just her beautiful smile.
She leaves behind her loving family, and her two loyal dogs, Luna and Kobe who will surely miss her comforting presence. Aggie is now reunited with her parents: Laura, and Hermenegilde, her siblings Francoise, Roland, Joe, Jean-Guy. Although she’s gone from our lives; her love, laughter and the traditions she built will live on in all who knew her, and we find comfort in knowing she is watching over her family forever.

A celebration of Aggie’s life will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 11:30 to 14:30 and then a service from 14:30 to 15:30 at Rideau Funeral Home , 4275 Boul des Sources, DDO, QC H9B 2A6.
