<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Di Valerio (née Anania) on July 31, 2022 at the age of 74. <br> <br>Beloved wife of Antonio Di Valerio, cherished mother to Jason (Elizabeth), Michael (Angela), Adriana (Richard), proud grandmother of Matthew (Jennifer), Brandon, Kaitlyn, Talia, Riley, Aidan, Logan, Xander, Mia and Jackson, and great grandson Jericho. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Silvana (Cyril), and in-laws Doralice, Silvana (Gilles), Domenico, many special friends, her nieces as well as many other relatives and friends. <br> <br>Maria was a beautiful, intelligent and caring woman whose capacity for love and generosity knew no bounds. She impacted the lives of everyone she spent time with. Her passion for cooking and crafts served as a vehicle to bring joy and happiness to her family, friends and anyone that she met along the way. Her optimism, determination and strength served as a beacon to us all. <br> <br>Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home on Thursday August 11, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A small service will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 at 10 am. <br> <br>Special thanks to the Oncology and ICU team at the Lakeshore General Hospital as well as the staff at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Home. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, a donation for Leukemia research at The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. <br> <br></div>
