It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Mario Monteleone, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 60 years, Maria Guerriero, and his children, Colomba (Mark) and Lino (Monica). He was the loving Nonno of Alexander, Paul, Patrick, Melissa and Matthew.
He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Carmine (the late Mafalda) and his sisters, Angela (Mario) and Giustina (Enzo).
He was predeceased by his parents, Colomba and Aquilino and sister Grazia (Carmine).
He also leaves behind his dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 11 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rideau funeral home in DDO.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12 at 10:00 am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in NDG, followed by the entombment at Rideau Mausoleum in DDO.
For those who wish to honour Mario’s memory, a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
