<div itemprop="description">On the 28th of December, 2023, Mary Elizabeth Hill (nee Cane), beloved wife of the late John Carlyle Hill, left this earth after a brief struggle. Over many years, she was supported by her son Peter (Ann) and daughter Jennifer, at home during the first year of the pandemic with CLSC Dorval-Lachine home care, and by Waldorf residence doctors, nurses and préposés over the last three years. We thank Dr Becker, Dr Dannenbaum, Dr Vegiard, Kate, Fareedah, Theresa, Evelyne, Stephanie, Vida, Jennifer, Yvonne and Lori. Mary was a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and ran her own business as a commercial artist. She was also a great cook, an avid reader and a lover of classical music. After raising her children she became a painter and sold her art at Eatons' and at Gallerie Gevik in Toronto. She was fortunate to have had a career she truly enjoyed. She will be remembered for her intelligence, independent spirit and optimism.
