In Loving Memory of Mary Smith Walker.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Smith Walker, age 86, at Lakeshore General Hospital on August 29.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Stewart (Wendy) and Susan (Gilles); her cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Shaun, Kristina, Jessie, and Brittney; and her beloved great-grandson Bradley.
Mary found great happiness in her knitting. Her family will fondly remember the many pairs of cozy socks she lovingly knitted and gifted to them over the years. She was also well known for her delicious spaghetti sauce, a family favourite that will forever bring back memories of her kitchen and the warmth she brought to family gatherings. Her family was the centre of her world, and the love she shared with her grandchildren will remain in their hearts always.
Mary is now resting peacefully with her beloved husband, Stewart Sr. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated: www.alzheimer.ca
