<div itemprop="description">Mildred O’Brien (nee Burnett) died peacefully at 11:58 am on Saturday 4 February 2017 at the West Island Palliative Care Residence, Kirkland. <br> <br>Mildred was born in Montreal, Quebec on 31 August 1943 and a long time resident of this city and its’ surrounds, having spent her early life in Park Extension and Cartierville and her adult life on the West Island. <br> <br>Studying part time at night whilst raising two children, Mildred received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from Concordia University. She was an avid reader, loved learning and painting. This was evident by the fact that she continued to take classes and to paint despite having contracted a serious illness, which nearly took her life in late 1994. Mildred enjoyed socializing with her friends and spending her free time in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. <br> <br>Mildred was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband Alexander, her two children Harold and Tracey, and her grandchildren Brittany, Brendan, Meghan, Grace and Aimee and will be sadly missed by her family. <br></div>
