<div itemprop="description">廖明德 <br> 1941年5月18日－2026年6月7日 <br>2026年6月7日，廖明德先生於Dorval 的家中安詳辭世。雖然他的離世來得突然，卻平靜而祥和。自去年八月中風後，他的健康一直未能完全恢復。在生命最後的數月裡，他在 CLSC 的照護下舒適地居家療養，並有摯愛的妻子真智、女兒珩君，以及珩君的丈夫 Donald 陪伴左右，給予他無盡的關愛與支持。 <br>廖明德先生身後留下結縭61年的摯愛妻子真智；女兒珩君與其丈夫 Donald；女兒瑩君與其配偶正良；以及外孫女羿瑄。他是一位慈愛且盡責的丈夫、父親、祖父、兄弟、堂表親、叔伯舅舅，以及朋友。對家人而言，他將因其溫暖、善良與幽默風趣而被永遠懷念。對眾多姪兒姪女、外甥外甥女、親友而言，他是歡笑、智慧與關愛的泉源。他對朋友始終忠誠不渝，並且總是在他人需要幫助時毫不猶豫地伸出援手。 <br> <br>廖明德先生畢業於臺灣國立中興大學畜牧獸醫學系。職業生涯初期，他受聘加入中華民國援外農耕隊，在越戰期間他被派往越南協助訓練農民種植牧草有成，越南農民稱那牧草叫「廖氏牧草」。約半年後越戰全面爆發，他返回臺灣，隨後任職於臺灣省農會，之後轉而投身工商企業界發展。 <br> <br>家人懷著無比悲痛的心情悼念這位摯愛的丈夫、父親與祖父。同時，他們也感到些許安慰，因為他終於擺脫了近幾個月來所承受的身體病痛與種種限制。 <br>他將被深深懷念，並永遠活在親友們充滿愛的記憶之中。 <br> <br>追思紀念時間於2026年6月27日下午1-3時，於 麗都紀念墓園和殯儀館 Rideau Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home（4275 Boulevard des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Québec）舉行。 <br> <br>您的蒞臨與分享珍貴回憶，將是對家屬最大的安慰。家屬謹此誠摯致謝，並敬請親友免贈鮮花、花圈、花藝安排及奠儀。 <br> <br> <br>Ming Te Liao <br>May 18, 1941 – June 7, 2026 <br>On June 7, 2026, Ming Te Liao passed away peacefully at his home in Dorval. While his passing came suddenly, it was gentle and serene. He had suffered a stroke in August of last year and had never fully recovered. In his final months, he remained comfortably at home under the care of the CLSC, surrounded by the love and support of his wife, Chen Chih, his daughter Sarah, and Sarah’s husband Donald. <br> <br>He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. Ming Te is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Chen Chih; his daughter Sarah and her husband Donald; his daughter Joanne and her spouse Eric; and his granddaughter Erica. <br>To his family, he will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and gentle sense of humor. To his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, he was a source of laughter, wisdom, and affection. His loyalty to his friends was unwavering, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. <br> <br>Ming Te graduated from National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan with a degree in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science. Early in his career, he was recruited to serve with the Republic of China Agricultural Technical Mission in Vietnam. Despite the outbreak of the Vietnam War, the mission carried on. While there he was tasked with training local farmers in the cultivation of forage grass. His efforts were remarkably successful, and the variety became popularly known among local farmers as “Liao Grass” in recognition of his work. <br> <br>Following the escalation of the Vietnam War, he returned to Taiwan and subsequently worked for the Taiwan Provincial Farmers’ Association before pursuing a career in the business sector. <br> <br>With profound sadness, his family mourns the loss of a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. At the same time, they find comfort in knowing that he is now free from the physical pain and limitations he endured in recent months. <br>He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love. <br> <br>A Memorial Service will be held between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00p.m. on June 27, 2026, at Rideau Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (4275 Boulevard des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Québec). <br> <br>Your presence and shared memories are the greatest comfort.
