<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mohinder Leel Dayal on Sunday, April 5, at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital. <br> <br>Born in Leel, Pakistan, Mohinder lived through the hardships of the Partition of India and Pakistan. Alongside her family, she was forced to leave her home with no belongings and begin a new life in Muktsar, India. A few years later, she married our beloved late father, Sardar Balwant Singh, a respected bank manager. Together, they were blessed with three sons and one daughter, building a loving and devoted family. <br> <br>In 1995, she immigrated to Canada, where she became well known in her community for her kindness, warmth, and welcoming spirit. She touched the lives of many through her generosity and gentle nature. <br> <br>In the last four years of her life, she courageously faced a diagnosis of dementia. Despite these challenges, she remained strong and dignified until her final moments. She passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 101, having witnessed and cherished three generations of her family. <br> <br>Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Rideau Funeral Home & Cemetery, in DDO, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The cremation will take place at 1:15 p.m. All are welcome to join us afterward for prayers at the DDO Gurdwara. <br> <br>She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. <br></div>
