<div itemprop="description">In loving memory of Montagna Mazzaferro (Lina) nee Morgante born in Calabria Italy on September 8th 1939 and died on April 4th 2024. <br> <br>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lina Mazzaferro at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family. <br> <br>In 1964 while visiting family in his hometown of Rizziconi Teodoro Mazzaferro met a young lady, and what was meant to be a one week vacation ended up being a six month courtship and a 47 year marriage. Ted and Lina were wed February 20th, 1965 in Italy and after a brief honeymoon they moved to Montreal, where she would start her new life. <br> <br>Lina was a loving and supportive wife to her late husband Ted. Adored mother to Michelangelo (Susanna) and Antonio. Dear and proud Nonna to Teodoro, Isabella, and Massimo. She joins her beloved sisters Maria, Livia (Antonino), Stella (Rocco), and Amilcare in eternal rest. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Costanza (the late Michele), Rosalba (Etere) and brothers Bruno (Silvana), Giuseppe (Antonella) along with many nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Her love, kindness and beautiful smile will live in our hearts forever. <br> <br>A mass celebrating her life will be held at Paroisse Sainte-Geneviève, 16037 Gouin Ouest, Sainte-Geneviève on Monday April 15th at 12:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Rideau Memorial Gardens. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.</div>
