It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond (Roman) Moskaluk, on Friday, November 19 2021, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, at the age of 89.

Beloved husband of Lyse Leroux, with whom he shared 58 memorable years. He will be dearly missed by his three children Anna-Marie, married to Eugene Hsieh, Karl, married to Rodrigo De Assis and Stefan. Cherished Gedo to Mianna and Kai, whom he loved with all his heart. He also leaves behind his sister Sylvia, as well as many other family and friends in different parts of Québec, Ontario and The United States.

Raymond was a devoted Obstetrician-Gynecologist for over three decades working in the province of Québec at both Lachine General and Lakeshore General Hospital, bringing thousands of new lives into the world, treating each and every patient as if they were a member of his family. In turn his patients loved and respected him. This was witnessed by family members including Lyse, his sister Sylvia, his daughter Anna-Marie, his niece Christina, and Antoinette who worked with him at his offices in LaSalle, Lachine and Park Extension. They were often told by Ray’s patients what a wonderful and caring doctor he was and how he went above and beyond in treating them, bettering their lives. He and Lyse then moved to the United States and set up a practice for another 15 years, advocating as a team for their patients until their retirement in 2008. In 2012 and 2014 “Gedo” was overjoyed at becoming a grandfather, making frequent trips to Toronto to spend time with them. Later, when travel became more difficult for him, he would look forward to their visits or listening to them play piano over the phone and Facetime. He revelled in hearing about their various accomplishments and would always say “Anna-Marie you’ve got two gems in those kids” and would end with “give them a tickle and a hug from me”. They became the light of his life.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 23, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, followed by a private moment for immediate family members.

Public visitation will be livestreamed for family members and friends who are unable to attend, and can be viewed using the following link: https://funeraweb.tv/diffusions/41250 [Copy & Paste]

In Raymond’s memory/In lieu of flowers, a donation to Arthritis.ca would be appreciated.
