Nancy Rosalind Hodges
March 5, 1942 - August 17, 2022
Nancy Rosalind Hodges, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2022 at Vigi Dollard, in Pointe Claire, Quebec.
Born in Montreal, March 5, 1942, she is predeceased by her parents, Melbourne Stuart Hodges and Elsie Meek Hodges, and her sister, Barbara Seaton Parker (James).
Nancy was a warm, generous, fun and very loving aunt to her two nephews and niece; Neal Parker (Margaret Clark), John Parker (Diane Sekula), and Heather Parker (Peter Gastle). She will be greatly missed by her brother-in-law, James Parker of Oakville and her first cousin, John Cooper, of Montreal, who generously assisted with her care in the final years of her life.
She played an important role as the family matriarch to her great nephews and nieces, whom she adored; Emilie, Aaron, Eric, Sarah, and Alexandra Parker.
In her early days, she was a Montreal Alouette Majorette, with an amazing knack at throwing and catching the baton.
Nancy had a fulfilling and successful career of over 35 years with the Reader’s Digest, as director of music product development.
An avid bridge player, Nancy had many beloved friends with whom she spent endless hours of companionship, laughter, and weekend get-togethers in Gananoque.
A private family memorial of Nancy will be held at a later time.
