It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Norma Burdon (Lemieux) at the age of 86. Born in Valois, she lived in Léry for 76 years before moving to Beauharnois in 2022.
Predeceased by her husbands, Henri Lemieux (2014) and John Allen (2015); her brothers, James (2023), Douglas (2024), and her twin, Neil (2018).
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Virginia and Joanne (Robert); her grandchildren, Scott, Kristin, and Caitlin; her brothers, Roy and Jack (Terri); and her many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Wayne and Joanne (Lemieux) Woodring, Stephen and Jennifer (Woodring) Lee, Josh and Diana Woodring, Wayne and Diane (Lemieux) Topping, Scott and Sue (Lemieux) Tucker, Chad and Kathleen O’Quinn, and Michelle and Brandon Newman.
A dedicated worker, she retired from Place Kensington just a year ago. She enjoyed many creative pursuits including writing, music, painting, gardening, sewing, and was a devoted pet owner. She was an inspiration to many and will be fondly remembered for her resilience, creativity, and enduring love of life.
Visitation at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Blvd des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
