It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olive “Pat” Blackman, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the Lakeshore Hospital, at the age of 85, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born on January 30, 1940, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon Selby Blackman, her cherished twin sister Kathleen, and dear older brother Joseph. She is survived by her children: Laurie (husband Billy), Duane, and Mike (wife Petal); her grandchildren: Jeremy, Jordan, and Jayla; her brother Patrick; her sister Shirley, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
Pat was kind, with a quiet strength, and a deep, unwavering love for her family and those around her. Though Alzheimer’s slowly took pieces of her memory, it never dimmed the light of her soul or the love she gave so freely. Her courage and dignity throughout her illness were a true testament to the strength that defined her entire life.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
