Artigiano di grande talento, ha portato avanti con passione e orgoglio la sua arte per tutta la vita. Molti familiari e amici hanno il privilegio di avere nelle proprie case un mobile da lui realizzato—ricordi concreti della sua abilità e generosità.<br><br>La sua vita è stata segnata dal coraggio e dallo spirito d’avventura. Ha vissuto sei anni in Australia prima di tornare in Italia per sposare l’amore della sua vita, Rosetta, con la quale ha condiviso 58 meravigliosi anni di matrimonio. Nel 1969, insieme hanno intrapreso un nuovo capitolo emigrando in Canada per costruire una nuova vita e crescere la loro famiglia.<br><br>Sarà ricordato come un uomo gentile, onesto e gioioso, sempre pronto a mettere gli altri prima di sé e profondamente dedito alla sua famiglia. Amava trascorrere del tempo con i suoi cari, in particolare durante le vacanze in famiglia, che custodiva nel cuore. Il suo spirito di scoperta e il desiderio di esplorare nuovi luoghi lo hanno accompagnato sempre.<br><br>Soprattutto, l’amore per la sua famiglia è stato il filo conduttore di tutta la sua esistenza. Amava immensamente i suoi figli, ma i suoi nipoti gli hanno regalato una gioia e un orgoglio immensi.<br><br>Lo salutiamo con il cuore colmo di dolore, confortati dal sapere che ora riposa in pace e veglia su tutti noi dall’alto. Ci mancherà profondamente, ma resterà per sempre nei nostri cuori e non sarà mai dimenticato.<br><br><br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------<br><br>Ottavio Romanelli<br><br>It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ottavio Romanelli on May 16, 2026, at the age of 89.<br><br>He leaves behind his beloved wife Rosa, his devoted children Josie (Carmine) and Gianclaudio (Sabrina), and his cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Lucas, Gianni, and Brandon, who were the joy and pride of his life.<br><br>He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews and many dear friends and extended family across Canada, the United States, Venezuela, and Italy.<br><br>Ottavio was born on March 3, 1937, in Sassano, Salerno, Italy, where he learned the trade of carpentry at a very young age. A gifted craftsman, he carried his skill and pride in his work throughout his life. Many family members and friends are fortunate to have in their homes a piece of furniture he lovingly created—lasting reminders of his talent and generosity.<br><br>Ottavio’s life was marked by courage and adventure. He spent six years in Australia before returning to Italy to marry the love of his life, Rosetta, with whom he shared 58 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they embarked on a new chapter in 1969, immigrating to Canada to build a life and raise their family.<br><br>He will be remembered as a kind, honest, and joyful man who always put others before himself. He was deeply devoted to his family and found great happiness in spending time together, especially during family vacations, which he treasured. His sense of adventure and love of exploring new places remained with him throughout his life.<br><br>Above all, Ottavio’s love for his family defined him. While he loved his children immensely, his grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness and pride.<br><br>We say goodbye with heavy hearts, comforted in knowing that he is now at peace, watching over us from above. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered and never forgotten.<br><br></div>
