<div itemprop="description">Her family is heartbroken to announce that Pat passed away after a brief illness on Sunday November 25th, 2018. <br> <br>She continued to sing, share her faith, wink and smile sweetly in the final days of her life. <br>Pat was born in 1939 in Montreal, the first child of the late Ed and the late Nellie Butler. She will be dearly missed by her little sister Gerri and brother-in-law Ron. <br> <br>For over 44 years she was the proud and adored wife of the late John Riches Sr. (2004). Gentle and loving Mum of her late darling daughter Betty (2007), son John Jr. and daughter Kathy; sons and daughters-in-law Graeme & Claudybel, Wendy and Simon. Cherished Granny/Granster/Patsy of Doug, Shannon & Nick, Cameron and JD; Marielle and Janiecke. <br> <br>Pat was dearly loved by her family, her nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins and friends. She was considered a second mother by many of the kids she and John welcomed into their hearts and home over the years. <br> <br>Pat loved unconditionally and will be profoundly missed. <br> <br>Special thanks to all who helped guide and support Pat these past few years including those at church, the shops and restaurants at Plaza Pointe-Claire and the caregivers who enabled her to remain in the cozy apartment she shared with her cherished cat until the final week of her life. <br> <br>There will be no visitation. Service of Remembering will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Heights Baptist Church, 275 Braebrook, Pointe-Claire. All are welcome. <br>Donations to the West Island Palliative Care Residence, NOVA West Island or the Montreal Chest Institute Foundation would be greatly appreciated. <br></div>
