<div itemprop="description"><br>It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Frei. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who left us far too soon on February 4th, 2025 at the age of 78. <br> <br>Peter is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Filamer Macalanda, daughters Jennifer (James) and Jodynne, grandchildren Alessandra, Adrian, Kayen, Ariana and Raine, siblings Marcel (Erika) and Marianne (Ron), as well as many sisters & brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will miss him deeply. <br> <br>Born on December 2, 1946 in Switzerland, Peter lived a life of adventure and travel. A lover of nature, a big fan of skiing, hiking, camping, canoeing and gardening, Peter could always be found outside. A devoted husband, father, son and sibling, he cherished his family deeply. He was always offering his time and support without hesitation to anyone in need. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless beautiful moments he gifted us. He will be remembered for his kindness, intellect, humorous nature and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. <br> <br>A celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC, from 1-5pm where family and friends can gather to honor and remember the incredible person that was Peter. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. <br>Rest in peace.
