<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Haniak, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Peter's presence will be profoundly missed by his devoted wife Helena, his loving children Eric, Matthew, and Andrea, his caring siblings and brother in-law Stephen (Lucy), Teresa (Fabio), and Marek (Nadine). <br> <br>Peter's vibrant spirit was fueled by his passions for food, cooking, travel, and music. He will be remembered as a compassionate and caring man who always engaged in meaningful conversations with anyone that crossed his path. Peter exemplified tremendous strength and determination, and always placed the well-being of others above his own. <br> <br>During this time of grief, let us remember Peter as a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever live on in our hearts. <br> <br>The family will be accepting condolences at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, DDO, on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, from 2 pm to 5 pm and again from 7 pm to 9 pm. A funeral service to honor Peter's life will take place at St. Luke Church, 106A Anselme-Lavigne, DDO, on Thursday, June 29th, 2023, at 1 pm. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory will be greatly appreciated.
