In Loving Memory of Phyllis Harrison

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Harrison, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and aunt, and a cherished member of the community. Phyllis, age 87, departed this world on October 14, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Phyllis was born in Brown's Town, in her beloved Jamaica, to William Harrison and Daisy Dalrymple. She immigrated to Montreal, Canada, in the 1970s seeking new horizons and opportunities. With a spirit and wits as vibrant as the Caribbean sun, she embraced her new life and became a dynamic, independent woman who touched the lives of many.

Phyllis was a devoted mother to her son, Robin Logan, and her love and pride in him knew no bounds. Her legacy lives on in Robin, who carries forward the lessons and love she shared.

Phyllis was also a beloved aunt (and surrogate mother) to many nieces and nephews, who cherished her guidance, wisdom, and support throughout their lives. She maintained close ties to her Jamaican roots, sharing stories and the delicious cuisine of her homeland, and keeping the flame of her heritage alive for future generations.

Phyllis was a beacon of light in her West Island of Montreal community, where she created lasting friendships with her warmth and compassion. Her vibrant personality drew people in, and her wisdom and kindness endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A service to honor Phyllis will be held at 9:30 am at Rideau Gardens, Montreal on October 24, 2023. We invite all who knew and loved Phyllis to join us in remembering and celebrating her remarkable journey. She will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of strength, resilience, and the enduring power of love.
