We are heartbroken to announce the passing of a beloved family man. Peter left this world peacefully, with family by his side, on Friday, December 8th, 2023 at the age of 86.

Peter was born on June 29, 1937 in Contura , Sicily. At 14 years of age (1951) his family made the decision to come to Canada. With his mother Sebastiana (2001), sister Mela, twin brother Frank, brother Angelo(1990) and sister Mary the young family embarked on the ship Saturnia for the long journey from Italy to Halifax and then the train to their final destination in Montreal, where there they joined his father Giuseppe(2000).

Peter was one of a kind! He was fully devoted to his family and the life of each and every party. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 36 years, Diana. He was a loving and devoted father to five children Debi (Eugene), Joey (Vivian) , Bruno (2015), JP (Genesis) and Daniel (Nawel). He was a proud Grampa Peter and Nonno to his six grandchildren Joshua (Megan), Ryan (Theresa), Melissa (Daniel), Nathan (Mira), Adam, Elisa and Micaela as well as six great grandchildren: Ebba, Maddie, Audrey, Maya, Thea and Luka . Peter touched many lives and will also be deeply missed by all his extended family in Montreal, Italy and Toronto

Peter was a very successful businessman, nothing was impossible in his eyes, he was fearless in his endeavours and always stayed true to himself doing things his own way!

He will always be remembered for his generosity and positive outlook on life, always cracking jokes. He loved to make people laugh and could always be counted on to lighten the mood. Peter was always a man of ‘firsts’! He was the first on the dance floor, first to try anything new, first off the tee each morning and he was the first to help out whenever it was needed.
He truly lived life to the fullest and found enjoyment in each new adventure or simple pleasure. He travelled the world, tended to his garden, loved to golf and study the stock market.

Family was so very important to Peter! He loved bringing everyone together and especially loved planning his annual Christmas parties, meticulously working on the details and spending hours pulling together his ‘perfect’ music playlist. Unfortunately he didn’t get to plan out his Christmas party this year so the family has decided to do that for him and say our final goodbyes how he would have wanted it, with a celebration, filled with Christmas colours, laughter and sharing fun memories and stories of his wonderful life!

He filled many peoples lives with joy and laughter and he will be missed more than words can say.

The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Hoe, 4275 des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Monday December 18th 2023 as of 1pm, followed by a celebration of his life at 4pm and visitation from 7pm to 9pm.

For those who would like to join the family virtually for the life celebration, we invite you to use the following link to our Livestream platform: https://fweb.tv/114130

In lieu of flowers, a donation made to honour his memory to the Jewish General Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to The Palliative Home-Care Society of Greater Montreal would be appreciated.
