It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raul Vazquez. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay to his parents Jesus and Maria Juana, and he was the beloved brother of Martha.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family.
Raul is survived by his beloved wife, Teresita, the love of his life for 66 years. He will be deeply missed by his children—Alex, Diego (Tara), Seba, and Tita (Kindu)—his niece Cecilia as well as his cherished grandchildren, Ella, Luca, Jesse, Rico, and James, who adored him.
Raul was not only admired by his family but by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a source of wisdom, a role model, and a man whose kindness left a lasting impact. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his words carried weight.
Though we say goodbye, we do so with gratitude—for the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the legacy he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Raul. You will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The ICU department at the Lakeshore General Hospital in memory of Raul Vazquez.
