Régent Quintal
August 24,1958 – April 9, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Régent Quintal on April 9, 2026 at Valleyfield Hospital. He was 67 years old.
Born on August 24, 1958, in Repentigny, Quebec, Régent was the beloved son of the late Dr. David Quintal and Gisèle (Désilets) Quintal. He is survived by his loving wife, Josie Buela, whose companionship was the joy of his life.
Régent is also survived by his cherished siblings: Alain (Gisèle), Parise (Moon), Mireille, Yves (Debbie) and six nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Diane, whose memory he carried close to his heart.
Those who knew Régent will remember his wonderful sense of humour – a gift that could brighten any room. He was a loyal and supportive brother and friend, always present for the people he loved. An avid photographer with a deep appreciation for the natural world, Régent found beauty in quiet moments and open skies. He had a great love of classical music and his favourite getaways were camping trips in the woods, where he could be fully immersed in nature.
Régent will be dearly missed by his wife Josie, his family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
