<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ricardo Manuel Obelmejias on December 1, 2025, in Montreal.<br><br>He was born on June 23, 1954, in Montreal, Quebec, to the late Norma Vary and Victor Obelmejias. Ricardo lived in Venezuela for many years, as well as in Holland, where he spent time on a farm and in Amsterdam.<br><br>He leaves behind his daughter, Joyce Celeste of Venezuela; his grandchildren, Jose Ricardo and Leonardo; and his daughter, Emily.<br><br>He will be greatly missed by his sister, Cristina Obelmejias Goodman, and his nephew and niece, Michael and Stephanie.<br><br>He was the nephew of the late Fernande Sauve and the cherished nephew of his surviving aunt, Rebecca Obelmejias.<br><br>He is also survived by his cousins Diane Matus, Grant Russell, Yasmin Grothe, and Eduardo Arria Obelmejias.<br><br>Ricardo (Riki) had a great love of travelling and exploring the world. He enjoyed painting on canvas, building ship and plane models, practicing martial arts, and reading the Bible. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.<br><br>He will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery in Pointe Claire on December 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. <br>(701 Donegani, Pointe-Claire QC H9R5G6)</div>
