With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rina Michetti (née Camaiani) on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, at the age of 86 in Longueuil, Quebec.
Rina was the heart and soul of her family—a devoted mother, a cherished nonna, and a doting bisnonna. She leaves behind her beloved children, Carmela and Pietro (Kristin); her adored grandchildren, Vanessa (Bilal), Daniele (Marie-Noëlle), Alexia (Daniel), Marina (Joey), Massimo, Eric (Émilie), Joseph, and Walter; and her precious great-grandchildren, Aya, Luca, Nathaniel, Olivia, and Alexa. She will also be deeply missed by her loving siblings, Louisa, Grazia, Rosa (Felice), and Antonio (Tiziana), as well as by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Rina’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the heart of every gathering, filling rooms with laughter, wisdom, and kindness.
Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, at Rideau Funeral Home (4275 Bd des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B 2A6). Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a religious ceremony at 1:30 PM, a burial at Mausolée Rideau at 2:30 PM, and a reception at 3:00 PM.
A mass in Rina’s honour will be held on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Maria Madre dei Cristiani Church (7935 Rue Lefebvre, LaSalle, QC H8N 1H5).
Her love will remain in our hearts forever. Riposa in pace, cara Rina.
